DESCRIPTION:  A new bridge link from the Interchange IP 111 on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sulatan Street at Umm Lafina across the environmental sensitive mangrove areas transverse Umm Lafina Island (south) and will tie into Reem island. The over all proposed Umm Lafina Link Road (ULLR) will be approximately 9.7 km in length and will comprise a dual carriageway with three lanes in each direction with a number of bridge structures at crossing points. Once completed, the highway between the islands of Umm Lafina and Al Reem will cross a mangrove reserve, where the project's team will relocate and plant double the number of mangroves expected to be lost, following the sustainability principles that it applies at all its construction sites. ECOBUILD was appointed by Salini Impregiloto supervise the implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and do quarterly audits at construction site.

SCOPE OF SERVICES: Environmental Consultancy including;

  • Construction Environmental Management Service (Quarterly Audit) 
  • Natural System Protection (mangrove reserve and replanting)
